Long time friend of Campfire & Co., executive director Ashley Hawkins contacted us about helping plan the interior layout of Studio Two Three's big move to Scott's Addition. Studio Two Three is Central Virginia’s only community printmaking workshop. They provide established and aspiring artists and craftspeople with studio facilities, education, artist residency, and open doors. With 24/7 access to a printmaking shop, darkroom, digital lab, communal workspace, and individual studios to support production, creative practice, and discourse, Studio Two Three is a collection of professionals, amateurs, teachers and students.
Campfire & Co. worked closely with Ashley to create a detailed space plan of the new print shop in Scott's Addition. The layout and schematic designs were created with careful consideration for fitting in all of Studio Two Three's large printing equipment and the efficiencies needed for users during the printing process. We also created a 3-D model for Studio Two Three to assist in visualizing the new space and to support their fundraising efforts. The great thing about working with other designers and creatives is that they took our ideas and plans and ran with them, including creating the hand drawn floor plan below that helped support their (hugely successful) Kickstarter campaign!
