Friends! So much has happened for the Campfire gang lately! We thought you might like to know about some of our big changes and exciting new deliveries!
First up, if you've been following along via Instagram you probably already know we have moved into our brand new office space on Main Street. Lovingly dubbed The Woodlot, the workspace is a collaborative effort between ourselves and our good friend at Sarah Milston of The Spark Mill. We invited a couple more small businesses to join us and are so excited to be desk neighbors with Stephanie Ganz and Barb Upchurch of The Apple Cart, Heather Drew of Bella Designs Studio, Leslie Lytle of Nurture, and Rachel Burns of The Content Chop Shop. However unintentional, it does feel pretty rad to have filled up this creative space with so many women-owned businesses. We hope to cultivate a supportive and collaborative community amongst each other. We also want The Woodlot to be a place that fosters connection and creativity for others as well through events, workshops, and rental of our space. (Feel free to get in touch for more details on rental).
Just a few weeks after our big move to Main Street, our co-founder, Christina gave birth to an adorable and healthy baby girl! On August 18th, 9 days late, Christina and Justin welcomed Esme Rosalee Kern into the world. Weighing in at 7.3 lbs and just under 20" long, they had a wonderful natural delivery experience at St. Mary's with their doula Cristina of Blooming Birth. The happy parents are still getting some sleep and are totally smitten with little Esme.
Two weeks later, we all traveled to Madison, Virginia to party in honor of Lauren and Ryan's nuptials! On an epic cabin property set against the backdrop of Old Rag Mountain, we celebrated true love, new family, and old friendships. After a beautiful ceremony and shedding a few tears of joy, we feasted on a spread fit for royalty catered by our friends at Mean Bird. We danced the night away, even baby Esme hit the dance floor in her tutu.
Thanks for following along our journey and bearing with us while we made these big life transitions. We are really excited to show you a few projects we've been up to this summer and a few more we are currently collaborating on this Fall. Stay tuned!
